Movie Under the Wings
The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History will host Movie Under the Wings, a unique outdoor movie event where visitors will view the iconic movie, The Goonies, among such historic aircraft as the B-29 Superfortress, an F-16 Fighting Falcon, and many more. Movie Under the Wings, will take place in the museum’s outdoor exhibit area, Heritage Park, on Saturday, June 11. Doors will open at 7:30 pm and the movie will begin at dark.
Movie Under the Wings will also provide music before the movie begins, an opportunity to enjoy cuisine from local food trucks and partake in beer from Bombs Away Beer Company, and the convenience to independently tour the museum after hours.
The museum is asking moviegoers to bring portable outdoor chairs for comfort and to please leave all four-legged friends at home (assistance/service dogs are always welcome). No outside food or drink will be allowed into the event. No alcohol, smoking or firearms will be permitted on Museum property.
This event is included with paid museum admission. Because this is a special fundraising event that supports the restoration of airplanes in Heritage Park, it is not covered by museum membership or other passes. June 11 admission may be purchased at the door or in advance online.
